There are two LED indicators at the front of the printer, which indicate the printer state by blinking and colors.
1. Paper Color
The color of the right LED indicates the paper color. If label paper is inserted, it is indicated in white, and sticky note paper is indicated in its color.
2. Printing Ready State
When the power is supplied and the paper is appropriately recognized, both front LEDs are turned on without blinking.
3. Bluetooth Communication State
The left LED indicates the Bluetooth communication state. If printing from your mobile device, the left LED blinks while sending data, and it stops blinking after printed. If printing from your PC, the left LED is always on without blinking since Bluetooth is not used.
4. Paper Jam
If the right LED blinks and it beeps, the printer is in the state unable to print. The beep pattern indicates the error cause. If the right LED blinks and the beep repeats, it indicates that the paper is jammed. In this case, open the cover, remove the jammed paper, and insert the cartridge again.
5. No Paper/Cartridge Installation Error
If the right LED blinks and the beep repeats, it indicates the paperless state. This error occurs when paper is run out or when you close the cover without pulling the paper out of the paper outlet a little. Replace the paper cartridge with a new one, or install the cartridge appropriately by pulling the paper out of the paper outlet a little.
6. Cover Open
If it beeps once and the right LED blinks, it indicates that the cover is left open. Close the cover fully until you hear the clicking sound.
7. Printer Head Overheat Prevention
When you print tens of sheets continuously, the printer head temperature may increase. In this case, the Nemonic Label printer automatically suspends printing to prevent overheating. At this moment, the right LED keeps blinking. If the temperature returns normal and the printer resumes printing, the right LED stops blinking.
Maintenance
The printer head used in the Nemonic Label printer is capable of printing approximately at least 20km long.
However, if used for a long time, the printer head may get contaminated and printouts may be affected, so clean it regularly.
Make sure to turn off the power and unplug the power cord before cleaning.
Open the cover. The printer head is the black strip part in the main body.
It may be very hot right after printing, so be careful.
Moisten a cotton swab with alcohol and wipe the print head with it.
Replace the paper just like inserting it for the first time.
※ If it beeps, check if the cartridge is inserted incorrectly or you have not pulled the paper out of the paper outlet slot a little.
※ No label cartridge is compatible with the old model (NEMONIC, MIP-001) product. When you insert a label cartridge in it, it may beep.
Slide down the levers at both sides of the printer, and open the cover.
Insert a cartridge. At this moment, the arrow marked on the printer and that on the cartridge should face each other.
Pull the paper out of the paper outlet slot a little and close the cover.
When you close the cover, the printer will cut the first sheet to the cartridge type and the paper length.
Now, your Nemonic Label printer is ready to use.

Troubleshooting > Printer Error
Poor Printing Quality
The printing resolution of the Nemonic Label printer is 203dpi.
Comparing with conventional printers, you may feel the printout is not clear.
When you print a memo that contains an image or images, check two items as follows:
- Color
When printing, colors other than black (RGB 0, 0, 0) are indicated in grayscale.
While visible in black, the actual color value maybe not black.
Check the color, use the correct black color, and you will be able to print more clearly. - Font
Depending on the font shape or size, you may feel visibility differently.
It is recommended to use the font that is not too thick, and the font size not less than 10pt when printing.
If it is used for a long time, the printer head may get contaminated, and streaks appear in the printout.
Moisten a cotton swab with alcohol and wipe the print head with it several times as instructed in the user manual provided together with the product, and the symptom will disappear.
Clean it regularly by referring to the link below.
Cleaning Printer Head
Link: Cleaning the printer head
Device Failure
Check the connection of the power cable.
After checking the power cable connection, press the Power button at the rear of the printer. If the front LED is turned on, it is normal.
Even though there is no problem with the power connection, the LED is not turned on, contact the seller you purchased to exchange it.
The Nemonic Label print is sold from Amazon, and you may exchange it within thirty (30) days per Amazon’s policy.
If the printer generates two consecutive beeps continuously, replace paper. This error also occurs when you do not pull the paper out of the paper outlet slot when inserting a paper cartridge. Check that the cartridge is inserted correctly. If the printer generates three consecutive beeps continuously, there is a paper jam. Open the cover and arrange the paper neatly. To check the state when an error occurs, refer to the link below.
Device State Indication
Link: Checking LED indicators
It generates unique noise when printing due to the internal motor.
However, if you don’t use dedicated paper or paper is not correctly inserted, it may generate noise louder than usual.
Use dedicated paper, and check if the paper is correctly inserted.
If the printer gets overheated due to consecutive printing or continuous printing of sheets mostly consisting of dark color, the printer detects overheating & blocks printing temporarily.
Wait until the printer cools down. It will resume printing once it falls below a certain temperature.
Out of the two LEDs at the front side, the left one indicates the communication and Bluetooth connection state.
If the left (communication and Bluetooth) LED blinks even when not printing, it means that a mobile device is connected to the Nemonic printer via Bluetooth, and it is ready to print.
If the mobile device finishes printing memos to the printer, the LED stops blinking.
Under the state that the left LED blinks because a mobile device is connected to the Nemonic printer, other mobile devices cannot connect.
When the LED stops blinking after the connected mobile device finishes printing, any other mobile devices may connect to the Nemonic printer.
For iOS, if Bluetooth connection is established from the device settings, the printer may remain as continuously connected. Select the Nemonic printer connected from Settings > Bluetooth, disconnect it, and connect it from the Nemonic app.
Device State Indication
Link: Checking LED indicators
It occurs due to the cutter that cuts the sticky note paper printed automatically. It is perfectly normal.
When the Nemonic Label printer is not used for a long time, the printer head roller keeps pressing the paper.
Consequently, if it is left unused for a long time, the first note printed may be rolled up.
The cartridge may have been inserted in the opposite direction in the printer.
Open the printer cover. Check inside at the right that arrows of the printer and the cartridge face each other.
When you insert label paper in the printer that supports the sticky paper only, it comes out as cut in the middle.
The printer that supports label paper is marked “LABEL” at the front.
It may happen rarely, but with a cartridge defected, the paper may come out as cut in the middle. In this case, it is recommended to replace paper.
If you have another label cartridge, check if the same symptom happens with it. If so, printer failure is highly probable.
If your printer or cartridge fails, contact the seller you purchased to exchange it.
When you insert paper, you should pull the paper out of the paper outlet slot a little before closing the cover.
If you close the cover after simply inserting paper, the printer beeps.
If the cartridge is correctly inserted, the paper pulled out of the paper outlet slot will be cut automatically.

Check that the power of the Nemonic printer is turned on. Check that it is correctly connected to your PC through the USB connection.
If it still does not work, click on the Windows key, search “Device Manager.” Check if there is “USB Printing Support” under “Universal Serial Bus Controllers.”
If “USB Printing Support” is not found, follow instructions as follows:
- Connect the printer to another USB port.
- If the printer used to work with other PCs, the problem cause might be that the printer is not recognized due to the weak power of your current PC’s USB port. Use a powered USB hub to connect to the printer.
- Reinstall the Nemonic printer driver. (If the problem insists after the reinstallation, delete it and reinstall it again.)
- Change the cable if an extra one is available.
